Memories
« on: July 07, 2005, 08:41:34 PM »
I have just been over to sheffield to ride Wharncliffe woods where another more recent legend Steve Peat rides. On the way over Woodhead I swore I saw a picture of JMC next to the road, so on the way home I slowed and there it was with Gb cycling shirt et al.

I remember so vividly the time I found out that JMC had died, I was on the way to a race at Penshurst and all the riders like Dave Hemmings etc were wearing black armbands. JMC really was a true legend and one of the reasons I started mountain biking.  I didn't realise until today that this was the area that he died and  I will be visiting the site again to leave something that he can use in another life.

Keep riding and living on the edge.
